Interactive Science

Students will engage in scientific inquiry which means they will be thinking like a scientist, asking why, and searching for the answers.  Students will be creating scientific investigations, analyzing data, and applying scientific knowledge to their own lives and to the world. Reading, highlighting the text, note taking, and answering the questions posed in the interactive science curriculum are necessary for growth and understanding of the concepts presented. These courses for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are designed to be rigorous and thought provoking, so homework is not an option, it is necessary. 

Science Essential Standards Curriculum


6th grade students will be exploring Science and Technology, Human Body Systems, Water and Atmosphere.


7th grade students will delve into Diversity of Life/Ecosystems, Forces and Energy, Astronomy and Space.

8th grade students will tour Cells and Heredity, Introduction to Chemistry, and Geology.
