Carbon1 November 2018 - Teacher, Support Staff Member & Student Unsung Hero of the Month

Carbon1 November TEACHER of the MONTH:

Please help us celebrate Judy Stepp as our November Teacher of the Month!  Judy is a Special Education teacher at Rawlins Middle School, and she joined Carbon1 in 2017.

Judy contributes to the entire district through support and coaching of Special Olympics, creating a buddies program at the middle school, and by working with students in grades 7-12 on the Wyoming Congressional Awards.  Last year, she had nine students earn 11 medals for the Wyoming Congressional Awards, and the group has grown to over 40 students!  In the classroom, she is a flexible, innovative teacher for all students.  She develops specific programs to meet individual needs, providing encouragement to students, and engaging them in learning that is of high interest to them.

She is a positive role model for students, staff, and all in our community.  Thank you, Judy Stepp, for providing such support, encouragement, and valuable learning opportunities to students each day!  Your work is greatly appreciated!

Carbon1 November SUPPORT STAFF of the MONTH:

Please help us celebrate John Cox as our November Support Staff Member of the Month!  John works in the technology department as the districts SIS EA/OA Admin (SIS = Student Information System, EA=Educational Application, OA=Operational Application) has been a member of Carbon1 since 2014.
He has become the student database guru, transitioning the district to Infinite Campus and helping to make it work for everyone’s needs.  Through this process, he listens to concerns and responds to staff and parents alike to help them use our systems.  He recently earned his A+ Certification and is working hard to earn other certifications.  He is constantly busy, yet he will take time to help anyone who needs it, always with a smile and a positive attitude.
He consistently goes above-and-beyond by helping others in the district regardless of whether it’s his responsibility.  Thank you, John Cox, for your dedication and hard work!  It is greatly appreciated!

Carbon1 November UNSUNG HERO of the MONTH:

Please help us celebrate Ashley Hernandez as our November Unsung Hero of the Month.  Ashley is an 8thgrade student at Rawlins Middle School.
She is always kind to others, demonstrates responsibility daily, and maintains a positive attitude.  She shows each day that she’s motivated to learn and puts forth the effort to keep improving.  She models her enthusiasm for learning to her peers, and she’s always very helpful to her friends and others in the RMS community.
Overall, she is a fantastic student, always kind and happy.  Others enjoy being around her because she’s such a positive person.  Thank you, Ashley, for modeling such positivity and dedication for learning as well as uplifting others around you!
