The majority of children killed or injured in pupil transportation
are not injured or killed on the bus,
but OUTSIDE the bus.
36
37
38
1. Sit in your seats, facing forward with your backpack in your lap.
39
2. Once seated, stay out of the aisle.
40
3. Keep your voices down to an indoor level - Level 1!
41
4. Keep your hands, feet and other items to yourself.
42
5. NO Food or Drinks on the bus!
43
6. Always follow the directions of the School Bus Driver!
44
45

For students that cross the street at a bus stop:
51
52
If you are late getting to the the bus stop in the morning and need to cross the street, you need to cross in front of the bus. Stand at the edge of the road and make sure the bus driver sees you and then only cross the street when the bus driver motions you across.
53
54
55
56
57
When getting off the bus in the afternoon, walk 10 big steps past the front of the bus, staying on the side of the road so the bus driver can see you. Cross the street ONLY when the bus driver motions you across and cross directly to the other side of the road, do not cross at an angle or across an intersection.
