Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC)

Jacinda Waldrip

Carbon County School District #1

Each building professional development team member works with the staff to develop and implement a guaranteed and viable curriculum to utilize for instructional purposes.

The Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum in CCSD#1 ensures that everything taught to students is aligned with state standards, that every student is receiving it, and that is can viably be taught in a school year. All students enrolled in the same class, course, or grade level are exposed to the same rigorous curriculum regardless of the teacher to who they are assigned. Our GVC has little to do with the resources we utilize; it's focused on the state standards and the assessments we use to make sure we are checking for understanding.

Each building has linked the documents used to provide instruction to the students receiving an education in CCSD#1. (Note: We are currently transitioning all of our curricular documents over to one spreadsheet. Please be patient as we work through this transition.)
